biofresh has landed a £300,000 investment from Newcastle venture capitalists NEL fund managers to use to increase global sales. biofresh have already built up a market across the UK and overseas and hope to expand its revenues to £6 million in the next couple of years. Harry Smart, Chairman of biofresh, said “We’ve built up a strong client base among the major food storage firms in Europe, the US and Japan over the last few years, and are now financially and technologically ready to take the business to the next level.” With the recent launch of the Smartpallet biofresh is in good stead for further growth. Nick Edgar of NEL Capital said “using advanced technologies to address an age-old problem has given biofresh an extremely strong position in a growing market, and is yet another example of north east ingenuity making an impact on a national and international scale.”
